Marlen Tulegenov appointed general director of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC

KazTransOil JSC announces the appointment of Marlen Zhaksylykovich Tulegenov as Director General of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC.

Marlen Tulegenov’s appointment is a strong example of a successful career built within one company, reflecting his high level of professionalism and many years of dedicated work. He has progressed through all levels of the operational hierarchy, from shop-floor employee to senior executive.

He holds a профильное technical degree from the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas, having graduated with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering for the Design, Construction and Operation of Oil and Gas Pipelines and Storage Facilities.

Over more than 25 years within the KazTransOil JSC system, Marlen Tulegenov has held a number of key positions, including Chief Engineer of the Atyrau and Mangystau pipeline departments, Deputy Head for Production of the Atyrau Pipeline Department, Head of a Pipeline Department, as well as Director of the Operations Department at KazTransOil JSC’s head office.

Under his leadership, the reliable and safe operation of trunk pipelines was ensured, while the efficiency of production processes was consistently improved.

Batumi Oil Terminal LLC is a foreign asset of KazTransOil JSC and an important element of the international logistics chain for kazakh oil. The company provides transshipment services for crude oil and petroleum products originating from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Georgia and other countries. The terminal provides access to global markets, playing a key role in diversifying export routes and enhancing the resilience of Kazakhstan’s oil transportation system.

Marlen Tulegenov’s appointment is aimed at further improving the terminal’s operational efficiency, advancing international cooperation, and strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in the global energy market.
