Head of KazMunayGas Meets with the Ambassador of Georgia

A meeting took place in Astana between Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC, and Levan Diasamidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Kazakhstan.


The two sides discussed key issues and prospects for cooperation in the oil and gas sector between Kazakhstan and Georgia.

Particular focus was given to the operations of the Batumi Oil Terminal (BOT) group of companies, which manages the transshipment and storage of oil, petroleum products, and dry cargo. BOT is part of KazTransOil JSC, a subsidiary of KazMunayGas.

Khasenov highlighted the strategic importance of the BOT group, noting its crucial role in expanding Kazakhstan’s transit corridors and deepening ties with Georgia. He emphasized that BOT’s development creates new opportunities for the country and strengthens its presence in the international energy arena.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue working together to enhance strategic cooperation.
