Social Policy
The active social position of the BOT is expressed not only in caring for its own employees, but also in conducting various external social programs. Caring for poor citizens of the city has become a good tradition.
One of the main projects is the charity canteen of the Terminal, which was founded on November 1, 2000 to provide meals to single, low-income and large families, today 155 people have meals at the canteen every day, including Saturday and Sunday.
The Terminal provides charitable assistance to the former retired employees, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, registered in the LEPL Association of Veterans of War, Labor and Armed forces of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, to the Charity House of St. Great Martyr Ekaterina.
The significant component of the participation in the socio-economic development of the region is the close cooperation with the higher educational institutions of the city - LEPT “Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University" and LEPT "Batumi State Maritime Academy".
On the basis of the Memorandum of mutual cooperation concluded between our organizations, the BOT annually accepts students for the practical training.
The main purpose of the traineeship program developed by the specialists of the Personnel Management Department of the BOT together with the professors of the University is the training of highly skilled professionals, who meet the requirements of the modern employers and create conditions for the employment of the young people in the oil and gas industry of the country. In addition, the integration of science, higher education and industry is the basis for the innovative development of any country.
