The Batumi Oil Terminal Ltd continues to implement measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Batumi Oil Terminal Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the „Company“) continues to implement preventive measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The employees of the Company are provided with the necessary personal protective equipment. As part of the sanitary and disinfection regime of the administrative facilities and common premises, the regular sanitary and preventive treatment of the premises is carried out.
1500 respirator-masks, 150 liters of antiseptics for hand disinfection, 400 liters of disinfectants for the treatment of premises, as well as for the bus serving the employees of the Company, were purchased from March to June 2020.
Thermal screening of the employees of the Company is being carried out daily by the Department of Labor Protection, Industrial Safety and Ecology. The control of the compliance of the sanitary norms of the personal hygiene by the employees is continued.
With the support of the Maritime Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, from 19 to 20 May 2020, target groups of the employees of the Company were tested for the presence of the coronavirus infection COVID-19. The target group included workers who, based on the specifics of their work, contact the crew members when loading and unloading ships. 42 employees were tested, none of the workers had the virus.
